Concord men arrested for burglary and vehicle theft in north Lake Tahoe

Two men from Concord were arrested in North Lake Tahoe on May 15 for possession of a stolen vehicle , possession of stolen property, and conspiracy after a multi-agency investigation.

21 year-old Jesus Salazar and 41 year-old Juan Valencia were stopped by Placer County Sheriff's deputies for speeding through Carnelian Bay.

The deputies found stolen construction tools and equipment, some covered in shards of car glass. Numerous window-smash burglaries were being reported in Washoe County, Nevada, at that same time.

The vehicle the suspects were driving was stolen from Incline Village, Nevada. More stolen property was later recovered at one of the suspect's homes.

In total, five Washoe County burglaries were solved, two stolen vehicles were recovered, and Concord detectives recovered property from five burglaries in their jurisdiction.
