Bill to increase early detection of breast cancer passes Assembly

CARSON CITY, Nev. (KRNV & MyNews4.com) -- A bill to increase early detection of breast cancer passed the Assembly 39-0.

AB 147 would mandate doctors inform patients if they have dense breast tissue and then recommend further action including extra testing if necessary.

Doctors who testified before the committee say the bill would increase early diagnosis and decrease the rate of death by breast cancer.
