Benefit concert to be held for Michael Landsberry

      RENO, Nev. (KRNV & -- On Friday, Nov. 1, several of northern Nevada's top musicians and bands will come together to pay tribute to Master Sergeant Michael Landsberry, the teacher and coach who was killed in last week's tragic shooting at Sparks Middle School.

      "A Hero Sung: A Benefit Concert to Honor Master Sergeant Michael Landsberry" will be held in the Grand Theatre at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) in Reno at 7 p.m. and will feature a lineup of some of the region's musical bands, including Lavish Green, Crush and Knowledge Lives Forever. Tickets will be available at the door for a suggested donation of $15 with all of the proceeds going directly to Master Sergeant Landsberry's wife and two daughters. For more information, visit www.

      Joining Knowledge Lives Forever, Crush and Lavish Green, will be northern Nevada regulars, Bazooka Zoo, Eric Anderson, Joel Ackerson, Lucas Young, Lacey Mattison and a performance from the popular performance group, The Siren Society. GSR is donating the Grand Theatre, the audio/visual equipment and setup for the event. Further, GSR has announced they will donate part of the beverage proceeds from the evening's event to the Landsberry family.
