23-year-old California man dies after snowboarding crash in South Lake Tahoe
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
A 23-year-old California man is dead after a snowboarding incident at a Lake Tahoe ski resort.
According to the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, David Karlin, of Orangevale, California was pronounced dead on Thursday, Dec. 7 after a snowboarding crash at Sierra at Tahoe Resort.
Sergeant Anthony Prencipe says first aid was provided by an on-scene acquaintance as well as ski patrol while Karlin was being transported by paramedics.
Paramedics were unable to revive the 23-year-old.
An official cause of death is pending, according to the sheriff's office.
