1 person rescued from Truckee River in Sparks
SPARKS, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) —
An individual was rescued from the Truckee River in Sparks on Tuesday, according to the fire department.
Battalion Chief Scott Means said crews responded at about 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, to a report of a person who fell into the river at Fisherman's Park.
Officers found the person in the water heading down river, and a rescue swimmer was able to rescue them.
Fire department and REMSA personnel performed advanced resuscitation efforts, according to Means, and the victim was taken to Renown.
Means said the fire department wants to remind people to use extreme caution when near the Truckee River.
