KRNVThumbnail

A senior at North Valleys High School is moving at an incredible speed to make her mark on her school and community before she graduates this year and because of that, she is News Four's Class Act Award Winner!

Evening anchor Shelby Sheehan surprised JoVee Jarrett during her psychology class recently.

JoVee is the senior class vice president, an all star cheerleader and and active member of the Panther Leadership team.

She first became involved in community work with the Special Olympics and since then has volunteered for the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, American Heart Association, University of Nevada, and the Reno Aces.

Amazingly, she has managed to get a 5.225 weighted grade point average while working hard to make her community stronger and holding down a job as a cheer coach for younger girls.

JoVee will attend UNLV next year to study sports psychology and hopes to make the Rebel Girl Dance Team.

Congratulations to JoVee Jarrett, News Four's Class Act Award Winner for the month of April!
