Portland Trailblazers Twitter account has fun with poor first half
The Portland Trailblazers had a tough time handling the Dallas Mavericks in the first half of their game on Wednesday in the Rose City.
The Mavs took a 61-38 lead into the locker room at the half, prompting this reaction from the Blazers' Twitter account:
We're not going to post the halftime score. Check out our mentions if you want to see how the game is going.
Fans were not happy to see the Blazers losing at home to Dallas, which had a 1-13 record on the road coming into the day.
The account also had a little fun with some of the complainers. When one user pointed out the team was losing, the Blazers account replied, "or are we just setting up a dramatic comeback..."
As it turned out, Portland kind of was setting up a comeback. The Blazers would score 57 points in the second half, including 33 points in the third quarter, and hold Dallas to just 34 points during that span.
The effort wasn't enough on the court unfortunately; Portland would lose 96-95.
But the Twitter account certainly got points for keeping hope - and laughs - alive.
