Concealed Carry Amendment Voted Down

RENO, Nev. ( & KRNV) -- The Nevada assembly has voted down the concealed carry amendment which would have allowed people to bring guns onto college campuses.

It's been called the "campus carry" law... And would have also allowed concealed weapon permit holders to store firearms in locked cars.

Republican assembly members Michele Fiore and Ira Hansen proposed the *amendment after a senate committee refused to hold a hearing on a *separate "campus carry" bill.

The bill itself is still in play. It clarifies the definition of justifiable homicide, and makes it more difficult for people convicted of domestic violence to own firearms.
